We work and collaborate with global leaders in the space, including the French Football Federation, who has provided their world class training to over coaches, and that number increases every year. An often-overlooked segment of elite player development in youth sports is the implementation of plans for individual growth. MLS NEXT clubs are encouraged to develop holistic and individualized plans for the growth of each player, including technical, tactical, physical, mental, academic, and college placement.

MLS NEXT understands the importance of the college pathway and appreciate that participation in our platform provides a unique opportunity for talented players and college coaches to better evaluate this decision. Full program acceptance is contingent upon acceptance to the University, transfer of all required coursework, and completion of all prerequisites.

Applications are due February 1 each year for the program beginning the following August. Incomplete and late applications those not verified by February 1 will not be considered.

Applications are not retained for future years. Applicants must reapply in order to be considered for subsequent years. All pre-requisite courses with the exception of chemistry prerequisites are available online at APSU, making it easy to complete any missing general education core course requirements.

Upon acceptance to Austin Peay State University, please log into your Onestop account and verify that all of your transfer credits are visible in Onestop on your transfer evaluation. If any courses or transcripts are missing, you will need to follow up with our Admissions office. Requests to review transcripts outside of the formal University application process will not be granted. Students in our program complete two courses each eight weeks plus two courses in our summer session for a total of ten courses 30 semester credit hours.

All students complete the program as a cohort and must be enrolled full time. Tuition is paid by the semester and installment payment plans are available. Twelve hours are completed in fall and 12 hours in spring. Six hours are completed in summer. Tuition is paid per semester.

Medical Laboratory Scientists are an important member of the healthcare team and will interact with physicians, nurses, patients and other members in the laboratory. Graduates of MLS programs will often have management responsibilities. Many may specialize in areas in the Medical Laboratory such as hematology, clinical chemistry, toxicology, virology, microbiology, immunohematology blood banking or molecular biology.

The curriculum also offers an excellent foundation for medical, dental, veterinary, and pharmacy schools. It is also an excellent degree for admission to graduate programs in medical sciences. Students begin their first year in the MLS program in August and graduate in December of their second year. The MLS program consists of 60 credit hours and the curriculum for traditional students, based in Lexington or Hazard, is outlined below. Course descriptions can be found in the UK Bulletin.
